Gentle Grad Guide
Gentle Grad Guide grew out of my own journey as a first-generation master’s, and now PhD student. I had little to no formal guidance navigating the world of applications, mentorship, and academia—most of what I learned came through trial, error, and the generosity of mentors who showed up informally along the way.
Through Gentle Grad Guide, I offer the kind of intentional support I once needed: structured, compassionate, and rooted in lived experience. I know that crafting a story—especially one that captures your past, purpose, and potential—takes time and care. Whether you’re writing a personal statement, refining your research narrative, or finding your voice after years of doubt, my goal is to make the process gentler and more grounded.
This space is where story meets structure—where we slow down enough to understand not just what you’ve done, but why it matters, and how to communicate that with clarity and confidence in your applications.

Resources and Templates
✨ The resource library is currently in development. I’m taking time to build materials that are thoughtful and genuinely useful.
Not everyone needs, or is ready for, one-on-one coaching, and that’s okay. Sometimes what you need most is a quiet space, a bit of structure, and the right tools to begin on your own.
The materials will draw from my experience as a first-generation college, master’s, and PhD student who had to learn how to navigate these systems largely alone. They’re the tools I wish I’d had when I was writing my first applications, organizing my ideas, or trying to figure out where to even start. In the meantime, you can follow @GentleGradGuide on Instagram to get early access and updates when the first resources are released.
